Home Grown, Seasonal, Organic and Tasty

The box will change with the seasons and availibility of produce that meet our high standards. We will try to keep it as local and home-grown as possible. We will include imported fruit during the winter months as very little is home produced. Things can also get a bit short on the home grown vegetable front during what is known as the “hungry gap” – the months of March and April.

We will always endeavour to make sure that everything we buy in comes from ethical producers who care for their land, grow quality food that tastes great and is much fresher than supermarket bought produce. Everything from the community is grown on a small scale, cropped young and tender, then picked and delivered within hours for that special freshness and taste that sets us apart.

We grow a range of heritage varieties which produce a much taster crop but don't crop as well as the modern commercial types and have a shorter shelf life, but for us quality and taste come first. We hunt out long forgotten varieties and then test grow to select the tastiest.
